Cookies and local storage

faibl does not currently use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, behavioural analytics, or a newsletter tracker. It does use essential browser storage to sign you in, protect work in progress, and remember writing preferences.

Authentication storage

Firebase may use browser storage to keep your sign-in state and complete email-link, Facebook, or Google authentication. Blocking it can prevent sign-in. Firebase and the selected identity provider also process security information such as IP address and user agent.

Draft and preference storage

faibl stores recoverable project setup and editor drafts, interface preferences, and an email address temporarily needed to complete an email-link sign-in in your browser. This storage is tied to the device and browser profile.

Stripe-hosted pages

If you open Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal, you leave faibl for a Stripe-hosted page. Stripe applies its own necessary, security, fraud-prevention, and preference technologies under its policy.

Your controls

Browser controls can clear or block cookies and local storage, but doing so may sign you out, remove an unsaved local recovery copy, or stop parts of the application working. Export important work before clearing site data.

Future analytics or marketing

Any future non-essential analytics, advertising, or newsletter technology must be documented and, where required, offered only after an appropriate consent and withdrawal mechanism exists.
